I bring you greetings and an affectionate welcome on behalf of each student at the University Technology, Jamaica Western Campus. The Western Campus is located in the city of Montego Bay, St. James and houses approximately eight hundred (800) of the University’s student population under the College of Health Science, School of Business Administration and the Faculty of Law.

We are well on our way with visions, and the upcoming year has never looked so promising. I highly encourage you to get involved in a committee on campus, it is never too late to get involved and make a difference by trying something new. This year, your Students’ Union Council will be working in many areas to assist with the continued progression of our students and University. There are, three major areas that will provide the structure for all we do: Academics, School Spirit, and Creativity. Academics, as it should be, will be the driving force behind all that we do this year. Innovation and creativity also will play key roles in all that we do. The Students’ Union Council has developed a program to assist both general students and organizations in producing quality events and programs on our campuses, the vision has been set for this year, now let's make it a reality and remember we cannot fix your problems for you, but we can help you. Again, I highly encourage all students to get involved on your campus and to be aware of all the decisions, opportunities and people around you. We promise to “Innovate and Sustain- the way forward; quality above quantity with service surmounting self”, as a council this year we look forward for your support this academic year, best of wishes for now and the future.
